The Hotel Plaza Athenee has recently completed a multimillion dollar renovation of guest rooms and suites offering a contemporary European townhouse décor. Our 142 luxury hotel rooms and suites are equipped with in-room wireless Internet, plasma TVs with 300 channels including TV Globo, TV5, Deutsche Welle and RAI, movies on demand, two line speaker phones, large writing desks, marble bathrooms, Penhaligon’s amenities, safes, mini-bar and hair dryers.

All guest rooms are adorned with Sferra Italian fine linens, Asian inspired silks and contemporary French furnishings. Select rooms and all suites also feature iPod docking stations and DVD players.

Our suites include hardwood floors in the living room, one and half bathrooms and sofa beds as well as full kitchenettes, perfect for the long term stays. Many of our Deluxe Suites also feature glass-enclosed terraces with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

All of our hotel guests have access to twice-daily maid service, 24 hour concierge service and 24 hour room service. Complimentary amenities include a choice of morning newspapers, overnight shoe shine, tea/coffee service daily between 5:00-6:30 a.m., and complimentary access to our on-site business center and updated fitness center.

Classic Room
King bedded room with writing desk, 2 chairs and occasional table, marble bathrooms, plasma TV and CD player or ipod docking station. The style is classic European elegance. These hotel rooms are located on floors 2-4 and the average size is 320 sq ft (30 sq meters). Most have interior view and connecting rooms are available in this category on request.

Superior Room
Well appointed king-bedded guestroom featuring new décor with a European townhouse feel. Fabrics are in either a cinnamon and yellow scheme or a more muted grey, beige and mint green palette.

French Beaux-Arts furnishings, plasma TV, CD player or iPod docking station and marble bathrooms, some with stall shower. Some Superior rooms have a pantry.

These hotel rooms are located on Floors 2-16 and the average size is 330 sq ft (31 square meters). These rooms have interior and city views of Manhattan. Connecting rooms and rooms with 2 beds are available in this category on request.

Deluxe Room
King bedded luxury guestroom with sweeping city skyline views or front facing views overlooking the residences of a quiet, tree-lined street. These guestrooms are newly renovated and feature the sumptuous décor of a European townhouse, French Beaux-Arts furnishings, plasma TV, CD player or ipod docking station, marble bathrooms, some with stall shower and dual sinks. Fabrics are in either a cinnamon and yellow scheme or more muted grey, beige and mint green palette.

These rooms are located on floors 3-16 and the average size is 365 square feet (34 square meters). Hotel rooms with 2 beds are available in this category on request.

Grand Deluxe Room
The largest of our guestrooms, featuring a sitting area, king beds, French Beaux-Arts furnishings plasma TV, CD player or ipod docking station, marble bathrooms, some with separate shower and dual sinks. Fabrics are in either a cinnamon and yellow scheme or more muted grey, beige and mint green palette.

These rooms are located on floors 7-17 and the average size is 450 square feet (42 square meters). Side and City views of Manhattan available and two full beds on request.

Premiere Balcony Suite

This one-bedroom suite features master bedroom, separate living rooms with hardwood floors, one and half bathrooms, fully equipped kitchenettes with microwaves, stove, refrigerator and coffeemaker, plasma TV, and iPod docking stations. 725 sq ft. (67 sq meters).

One Bedroom Deluxe Suite

Manhattan Terrace Suite
One of a kind suite custom designed in a modern décor. This suite can be a One Bedroom Suite (1274 square feet / 119 square meters), a Two Bedroom Suite (1650 square feet / 153 square meters), or a Four Bedroom Suite (2200 square feet / 205 square meters).

Penthouse Suite
Penthouse 2-story duplex suite on the 16th and 17th floors of the hotel. This luxurious hotel suite features a spacious glass-enclosed atrium terrace with couch and seating areas and an outdoor balcony which wraps around half the length of the hotel. This suite offers breathtaking views of the NY Manhattan skyline.

Floor 16 features the living room area with hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffeemaker, dining area for 6, media room with lounge area and 52” plasma TV, and additional half bathroom.

A staircase leads to the top floor of the hotel with master bedroom, marble bathroom with dual sinks, separate shower and deep soaking tubs and the terrace and solarium. One Bedroom suite is 1972 sq feet (184 sq m) or as a Two Bedroom at 2453 sq feet (228 sq m).

Thai Suite
One of the hotel’s two Presidential suites, Thai-themed, with luxurious Asian silk fabrics and intricately-carved wood millwork. Extremely spacious luxury suite at 1410 sq feet (130 sq m) as a One Bedroom Suite or 1800 sq feet as a Two Bedroom (167 sq m).
